PLN-D2 Handheld Portable Load Indicator
The Model PLN-D2 are portable load indicators battery powered to 3 1/2 digit loads. Indication is direct. No multipliers are required, thus avoiding ambigious readings. Resolution from 1 pound to 1000 pounds depending on the load capacity of the load cell. Alternate display units are available, up to 199,900 counts with 100 count resolution. Operation is extremely simple. For normal use only two controls are involved. Turn on the power switch, set no load balance, and begin reading applied loads.
Features
A calibration check function is included to provide a quick test of the load cell and instrument integrity.
The readout system is fully contained in a cast metal case that is both rugged and durable.
Power is provided by a set of rechargable batteries. Batteries and a recharger with retractable 12 Vac power cord, are included within the housing.
Battery power allows complete freedom of use and provides 5-10 hours of continous usage depending on transducer resistance. A ratiometric measuring technique prevents battery decay from degrading system accuracy.
When battery voltage has decreased below a functional level, a visual display (flashing “:”) signals that recharging is needed.
Recharging is done by withdrawing the line cord from its sealed compartment and plugging into a standard 110 Vac wall receptacle. Batteries are completely recharged overnight and can be left “on charge” indefinitely.
